It's Time for a New Beginning in America.

Here's My Plan:

Heal Our Country, Strengthen Our Democracy, and Grow Our Economy

The core idea behind my Modern America Plan is to create a referendum-style national vote to break Congressional gridlock on the budget and everything else. A national referendum is when a government gives its citizens the option to vote yes or no on a proposal. We don’t need a constitutional amendment for this because the Constitution gives Congress the right to make laws, and Congress could make a law calling for a national referendum before the law takes effect. They do things like this in other democracies, and most states do this in their state elections through ballot proposals. Here are the details:

Dear Friend,

My name is Gibran Nicholas, and I’m asking for your help and support as I run for President of the United States as a moderate independent candidate. The main reason I’m running for President is to solve the root cause of the conflict in the Middle East, to heal our country, and to keep us all safe.

As the father of three young children, I’m deeply troubled by what’s happening on our college campuses, workplaces, and communities. I'm shocked by the incivility, misinformation, and polarization resulting from the Israel-Hamas war. Like you, I'm deeply disturbed by the massacres and human tragedy of the situation.  Neither Trump nor Biden have a plan to solve the root cause of the conflict, which means it's likely to get worse.

Meanwhile, we are facing unsustainable budget deficits, persistent inflation, and unaffordable housing here in America, brought on by the constant bickering and dysfunction in Washington. Neither Trump nor Biden has been able to unify our country behind a common purpose, and things have gotten worse under both their administrations. Now they're asking for four more years. I don't think we should give it to them. I think we deserve better.

As an entrepreneur, sales trainer, and continuing education instructor in the housing and financial industry, I'm a normal American like you. Our country was founded by normal people like us who saw a problem and created a solution to fix it. We are the children of the Pilgrims, the children of immigrants, the children of the civil rights leaders of the 1960s, the children of Native Americans who originally inhabited this country, the children of war veterans who lived and fought and died to give us the freedom we all enjoy today.

It is not only our birthright, it is our sacred duty to stand up and make things better for ourselves and our children, and to vote people out of office when their actions endanger us and don't match our values.

I believe we deserve better than Trump and Biden. What do you think?

with-gratitude
